The IMCA Common Marine Inspection Document Inspections

Maritime Expertise (ME) provides IMCA Common Marine Inspection Document (CMID) services to promote safety and efficiency while reducing the number of repeat inspections on individual marine vessels.

Maritime Expertise (ME) offers CMID inspections that are planned and undertaken in liaison with the vessel owner and are carried out by our CMID Accredited Vessel Inspector (AVI). Our inspections follow a standard format to provide a structure for the audit or inspection of commercial vessels used in the offshore industry. Our CMID inspections cover a range of areas, including vessel particulars, previous inspections, certification, safety management systems, crew management, life-saving and firefighting appliances, pollution prevention, and more.

We offer comprehensive CMID inspections and audits for a variety of offshore vessels, including Emergency Response and Rescue Vessels (ERRVs), Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels, Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs), and Dynamic Positioning Vessels (DP Vessels). Our inspections follow a standard format and are carried out by our CMID Accredited Vessel Inspector (AVI) in liaison with the vessel owner.
